Vector Networks Extends Lead in Software Inventory for the Enterprise
October 3rd Atlanta GA, Montreal and Birmingham UK — Vector Networks announces general release of v6.0 of their flagship Asset Manager Pro family of IT Asset Management solutions.
For over ten years Vector Networks has led the field in applying multiple identification techniques to maximizing the accuracy and granularity of software identification. Both characteristics are critical to successful license compliance and pro-active software asset optimization. V6.0 focuses on delivering a tenfold improvement in processing times, giving more prominence to registry-based recognition while retaining the full functionality of the file-based rules system and executable file header interrogation.

The v6.0 release also extends the Web-based Reporting functions, including advanced reporting of Microsoft OS and Server license keys, and provides hooks into the v1.1 release of Vector’s License Manager Pro, slated for October 2011.
