Vector Networks' PC-Duo® performs faster and adds features in v11.6
October 11th, 2010 — Atlanta, Montreal, and Birmingham (UK) — Vector Networks, a leader in IT asset and service management solutions, today announced Vector PC-Duo v11.6 with enhancements to performance and to the user interface.
PC-Duo is known for its combination of easy deployment and ability to scale to 10,000+ PC installations, with its distributable security and configuration management. Version 11.6 is typical of Vector's policy of continuous evolution and ongoing investment across its solution range, and provides both under-the-hood performance enhancements and new features to further improve ease of use for support and system admin users.
Support for sharing and remote control of Terminal Server sessions has been refined with more selectivity of the TS sessions into which the PC-Duo Host capability is injected. With the enhanced inter-operability with RDP announced in v11.5, and proven performance on the major virtualization platforms, PC-Duo provides remote PC support capabilities for the heterogeneous enterprise.
Performance — particularly for graphic intensive applications or where bandwidth is limited — will benefit from new color depth control at the Host — effectively providing another option for bandwidth throttling.
The Master toolbar has several additions, including a new simplified option for sending Ctrl-Alt-Del to the remote PC. Clipboard now supports automatic sharing between Host and Master.
