Vector Networks PC-Duo Enterprise v3.0 creates a Path to your Property

Vector Networks Inc. (www.vector-networks.com), a leading provider of desktop management solutions that reduce the cost of owning PCs, announces the release of its PC-Duo Enterprise brand of software. Version 3.0 of Enterprise delivers a broad set of enhancements to its Enterprise Console, Inventory, HelpDesk, Distribution and Metering modules. The update includes Active Directory integration and a Web-based Enterprise portal amongst other tools. This product update strengthens PC-Duo Enterprise’s position in the desktop management industry by providing a means for customers to increase productivity, broaden compatibility and further integrate with today’s Windows based networks.

PC-Duo Enterprise v.3.0 maximizes the benefit of having an Active Directory Organizational Unit (OU) structure by importing the OU Path for each PC as a new Property. The OU Path can then be combined with any other inventory characteristic to generate powerful and flexible Dynamic Groups. These Groups can simplify, modify and protect an AD structure with increased speed and efficiency thereby reducing systems management costs. For example, distribution of an update can be targeted at PCs in a particular OU that meet memory and disk space criteria.
Enterprise Portal for Easy Access to Valuable Data
The Web-based portal in PC-Duo Enterprise v.3.0 uses standard browser technology to provide authorized users with click-through access to Enterprise data from anywhere they have Web access.
The ergonomically designed interface provides employee access to data with minimal training. To meet the varying needs of user groups, custom reports can be generated based on specific user criteria offering a wide array of detailed information.
