As a Sales Account Executive, based in our Canadian office in the heart of downtown Montreal, you understand the sales process well and manage sales activities for existing and new Customers, Resellers and Partners. Your sales activities include: prospect generation and follow-up, delivery of marketing collateral, guidance and execution of appropriate sales process, lead management of RFP/RFI processes, and prospect database management. You develop and implement sales strategies to expand sales in accordance with corporate sales strategies to achieve individual sales goals and company targets. You are an energetic and self-starter and a hunter, with a focused effort on selling Vector solutions.

  4. Ability to prospect and hunt for new clients. Ability to manage and grow a significant existing client base.
  5. Ability to travel throughout North America and represent Vector at industry conferences and trade shows.
  6. Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to lead and manage the occasional RFP/RFI process.
  7. Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize opportunities to ensure leads are properly managed.
  8. Experience selling and presenting to directors and C-level executives would be an asset.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Qualifies sales leads, develops sales strategies for qualified leads, and maintains leads in the company sales system.
  2. Pursues qualified leads for end users, Resellers and Partners (contact via email, phone, etc).
  3. Prospects for new leads, including prospecting for new opportunities within the existing customer base.
  4. Reviews and pursues government bids. Submits, with the help of others, the required documentation for participating in the bid.
  5. Leads the effort in producing opportunity-specific documents such as Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP).
  6. Understands our technology solutions/products and is able to communicate that to the marketplace.
  7. Responds to customer inquiries/information needs and provides answers to questions regarding product line, prices, delivery times, warranty and maintenance, customer service and credit/financing arrangements. Sends product literature, price lists, references and other data to customers as required, in accordance with company policy.
  8. Manages existing customer relationships and develops additional account penetration through additional license sales, additional product offerings and maintenance agreements.
  9. Presents and demonstrates the products and solutions to prospects. May work in coordination with a Sales Engineer for demonstrations when deeper technical level is required.
  10. Develops and implements tactics aligned to corporate strategies for sales activities into vertical markets, existing customers and specific geographical areas, coordinates the implementation of marketing plans with management.
  11. Submits timely sales activity, forecast and lost sales reports to management in a prescribed format; provides briefings to management as necessary or as requested.
  12. Maintains contact with new and existing customers on a regular basis to improve customer satisfaction and to maximize the retention of annual maintenance contracts.
  13. Establishes and maintains profitable business relationships with value-added-resellers and partners in accordance with corporate policies.
  14. Prepares order configurations and price quotations and routes to customers; writes letters and e-mails to provide information to customer inquiries as needed.
  15. Performs management support and any other duties as assigned.
